Did you know that in 1837, a man named John Coffee Hays led a group of 32 Texans on a daring raid into Mexico, capturing the city of San Antonio? And they did it all with just 19 rifles and 12 pistols.
That's right, 32 Texans took on a Mexican army of over 1,000 men, and they won. It's one of the most incredible military victories in history.
How did they do it?
Well, Hays and his men were experts in guerrilla warfare. They used their knowledge of the terrain and their superior marksmanship to ambush and outmaneuver the Mexican army.
The Battle of San Antonio was a turning point in the Texas Revolution. It showed the world that the Texans were a force to be reckoned with, and it helped to secure their independence from Mexico.
